Here again...

The bad girl who abandoned her own blog is back...maybe for good, maybe just for today. I dunno..no promises ;)

Anyway, since last entry, I have resumed my drumming. I have also added a few more drumsticks to my collection - all Hard Rock Cafe sticks, mind you! The first was from Sydney, then Dubai, followed by Rome and most recent, New York. Yes, I'm a very lucky girl to be trotting the cities. Too bad there was no Hard Rock Cafe in Cannes and Bandung.

I may blog bout those trips here if I ever find the time and mood ;) But there is one thing I would like to write about..an unusual experience. I will write about it sometime soon. Promise.

Hello again!

Hi..testing 1-2-3 heheh...

I've been a bad girl. Bad and lazy for abandoning my blog.

So now I'm on Multiply. It allows cross-posting to Blogger. Not sure how it works - if my blog on Blogger remains as is. Let's see how this test goes...

Btw, the Curve Red Box tak best ahh...can't search Malay and Indon songs by artiste...

Learning the drums?

Bought a pair of drumsticks from Hard Rock Cafe Sydney. This is the closest I got to my learning-the-drums resolution made for this year hahah! Posted by Picasa

Day trip to Canberra - Nov 1

Hampeh la Canberra! Thank god I never had to live here. (Touch wood!) I would have died of boredom. If someone asks you to go to Canberra, I'd recommend that you skip it. Don't waste your day, unless of course you have an event to attend or family to visit.

We went to the Parliment House, Cockington Green and some Malay houses for Raya. I should have taken the boat to Manly instead..Damn it!

Welcome to Sydney! - Oct 30, 2006

View of the Opera House from The Rocks. K Dah took us to M's house. Berhari Raya lah konon. I was informed domestic help is very expensive in Australia. Australians are trained to do housework themselves. I dunno bout the Mat Saleh's houses but the Melayu's houses I visited very messy! Super messy! How do you live in such clutter? Sigh... Posted by Picasa

So Proud of ME :)

I’m so proud of myself today. I attended the MCM meeting this morning. It was my first time. I just found out that if you missed 2 meetings in a row, you are deemed absent even if you’ve sent an alt/rep. Oops..that’s me! I missed the last 2 meetings and didn’t even send a rep :D So I sat there in the full house boardroom. It’s good to be slightly late, I get to be a back bencher despite my “member” status. Apparently there’s a penalty to members who are “absent”. What’s the penalty? Yet to be revealed..oh well, I’ll wait in great anticipation :P

Anyway, why am I proud of myself? I noticed the meeting is scheduled to be mighty long. So I decided that I would sneak out around 12pm to attend another meeting. Now, this one is more important to me because it’s a working meeting, meaning we will trash out plans and details and actually get things moving. Hehe..am I insulting the MCM here? No! That MCM is important too, they do get discussions done and going but no pressing matters for me or my team at the moment. Besides, I could always catch up by reading the minutes.

So come 12pm, it didn’t look like it was anywhere near the end, I had to leave. But from where I was sitting, it’s too obvious to walk out. Actually, I could just walk out and let the Chairman know that I have another meeting but well, knowing the Chairman, he could create a scene. So…I left my laptop open (it’s out of battery anyway) and my notebook (the manual one) too. I walked out berlenggang as if going to the loo and straight to the other meeting.

I sms SL and NZ to let me know when they finish. Half an hour later NR walked into the room.
“La..you are here. I was waiting to make the exit with you but then I realized only your laptop was there.”
“Yeah..the laptop was a decoy - prop of my disappearing act :D”

We accomplished a lot in this meeting and finish about the same time as the MCM though we only started like 2.5 hrs later. NZ called to inform I may now come up to pick up my laptop. I returned to the boardroom just in time when the last few people were leaving. Gracefully I went up to pick up my stuff, AZ spotted me “eh, you were here?”
“Yup, there’s my seat” pointing to my stuff on the table :D
Oh..That went so smooth, I could soooo do this again. Ssyyyy…

KLCC CC is not a great exhibition hall. It's too narrow. MINES had the best hall. Too bad they shut down. Posted by Picasa

Some italian members performing some kinda ritual. They held a flower each, after the circle, the went and threw the flower in the water. Then they hugged each other and some cried... maybe it was a memorial thingy Posted by Picasa

Sailing Solo

From Hyatt, I decided to celebrate Merdeka holidays at Club Med. Why not, since I wont be back in time to join the entourage to YN's wedding.

I've been wanting to go to Club Med (just to check out what's the hu ha about this resort chain) for years, many many years but there were always conflict between time, company and club availability. You know, they always close for the monsoon. This is the first year they will be open all year long. Well, maybe they will close for 2 weeks during monsoon peak but not the usual 2 months.

I love it there. Mind you, Cherating is Club Med's most up market Village in Asia. I wanted to try sailing but there was no wind. So reluctantly I tried Kayak..what the heck, since I was all dressed up w/ life jacket and all. Once I hit the water, forgot all bout sunshine and UV protection crap. Luckily it was in the afternoon and not too sunny. I was hooked that I return the following morning (hmm..nevermind the fact that I had to check out in 2 hrs). I was the only one in the water, the only crazy one to kayak so early under the blazing sun. "Alamak, awak dah hitam!" "Hey, hitam la" (KK's comments when I upon my return). Thanks for being honest, dear. I'd need some whitening products soon :)

The GOs performed like pros. Love the concert. Ahh..and the cocktail party too..:D I've never seen anyone drink so many and so quickly. Unfortunately, there was no sex on the beach nor blowjob served. :( Food was terrific. You'll never go hungry at Club Med.

Yes, I'll be back definitely. Just when I sms-ed KM those GOs are cute but way too funky and young for my liking, a clean-cut, sweet, perfect gentleman one popped up. Maybe if I return soon enough, the charming Mauritian GO would still be there. Ahaks ;) Posted by Picasa

I was in Kuantan few days before Merdeka for this. I like Hyatt. I love my room, bukak2 pintu boleh terus masuk laut. I also like the fact that McDonald is 24hrs next door... Posted by Picasa

PGL Season 2

I missed Season 1 - dok menunggu tiket free punye hal :D
But people say Season 2 is much better, a lot of improvement. Tiara is a so-so singer, 50% of the time flat :D but overall it was a very good show. Considering it's a local production, I'd say it was excellent. I was highly impressed with the set. Amazing, super creative! But the lead guy, Hang Tuah, need to lose some weight la..body straight je, takde pinggang. Patutnya V-shape la kan? Btw, I got complimentary tickets for these, way too many sampai tak tahu nak bagi sapa. If not for the free tickets harus miss lagi kot.. Posted by Picasa

Aydin

Ni anak Syawa, Aydin. Pun ikut gi concert Kaer. Dah besar budak ni. Posted by Picasa

Pussy Cat Dolls

They were huge, in aura and in physique. They filled up the entire stage with they height, well-built bodies and sassy moves. And guess what, the lead singer can sing. I mean, she IS a singer, not just sexy moves. But Sunway is BAD venue. Long walk down and urghh..just not conducive for a concert. I'll think twice bout going to a concert at Sunway next time. Did I mention I had high fever and was on MC for my wisdom tooth surgery then? Two extra strength tylenols and off I went..Push the buttons, babe! Posted by Picasa

Mozartina

It was a great experience. Very up close and personal. I love Mozart! Thanks, VG, for the company! Posted by Picasa
